The Wrigley House on Catalina Island was extraordinary. You might need to call and see if they still take non house guests for dinner. The dining room overlooks Avalon bay, with a porch that streches along the whole front for strolling. Stay there if at all possible, meals included with wine and beer. Very special event happening.
