Subject:     Kosher in LA - Thanks for recs - follow-up

Went to Magic Carpet last night with my Kosher cousin who is visiting from Florida. We had a nice time with terrific food.
 
We started with an appetizer of Moroccan Cigars, Kibbeh, grape leaves and Falafel (probably the best falafel balls I've had outside of Israel) and then split a melawach with beef. I didn't love the melawach that much but that had to do with the veggies that were on it (don't like green peppers), not the actual food. I think my cousin was happy to have some meat as she had been eating veggie the entire trip in non-kosher establishments.
 
The service was ok, reminded me of the service in Israel. ;)
