You might be amused by my Chowhound special report on my adventures in the real Addis Ababa. Link below.
 
Although wine is made and consumed in Ethiopia, their tastes seem to run to coffee, t'ej, t'ella and (in Addis anyway) a locally bottled sparkling water called Ambo.
 
Yours should be an interesting experiment. Please be sure to post the results!
