The Water Grill or McCormick & Schmidts{sp}both in downtown LA have great oysters from the Pacific Northwest. I've gone to McCormick's more often, as they are a chain, but have never been disappointed with the fresh oyster selection. Being from the West, I prefer the Pacific oysters, but this could be due to the availability/freshness/proximity rather than the actual type of oyster.
