3 Doors Down Talks "Kryptonite," Records With Rush Member

3 Doors Down has just wrapped the first week of its opening spot on the Creed-Sevendust tour, an experience surely made all the sweeter by the fact that the Mississippi-based band's new single, "Kryptonite," is currently number one on the Active Rock radio charts.
Prior to heading out on the road, 3 Doors Down went to Los Angeles to shoot a video for "Kryptonite" with director Dean Carr based around the misadventures and antics of an aging superhero. In a recent chat with the MTV Radio Network, 3 Doors Down frontman Brad Arnold talked about the story behind the band's "Kryptonite" single, the first from its just-released debut album, "The Better Life." "It's kind of about how people are put up on a pedestal," Arnold said. "It's kind of from the [perspective of the] person being raised up [in that way], and he's speaking to the people lifting him up, and he's kind of saying, "If

perfect, would you still be there for me?'" [RealAudio] "Since we recorded 'The Better Life,'" Arnold began, "we had the opportunity to go record three songs in New Orleans with Alex Lifeson from Rush. That was a pretty good experience."
