Important note: it is very important to us to make the
judging process very clear to you. You can now see the scores
judges gave to all titleholders.
Fifty
years have passed since the first Miss Universe was crowned. Winners
came from superpower nations to ismall island nations. They are
diverse, have different religions, speak different languages.
The one thing they have in common is that they were beautiful
enough to be called the 'most beautiful girl in the universe'
for a year.
Celebrating
50 years of Miss Universe, Global Beauties decided to pay tribute
to them all by picking the most beautiful among the most beautiful
women on the planet. Two years ago we promoted a similar competition,
the best Miss
Universe ever. This time, however, judges' scores were given
based solely on titleholders looks.
Aware
that people from different regions of the world have different
concepts of beauty, judges have been diveded into 3 groups: the
Americas (representing 1/3 of titleholders final score), Europe/Africa
(1/3) and Asia/Oceania (1/3).
This
is how their final scores were calculated: first each judge gave
each contestant a score ranging from 1.00 to 10.00. These scores
were averaged among each of the 3 groups of judges. Then titleholders
were ranked from #1 to #49 in each region (Americas, Europe/Africa)
and Asia/Oceania). The woman ranking as # 1 received 49 points,
#2 received 48 points, and so on, up to # 49, who received 1 point.
Points were added up and the total determined our final ranking.
The maximum of points a titleholder can achieve is 147 points
(49+49+49) and the minimun is 3 points (1+1+1). Like this:

It
