Well, I'd log in if I could remember my user name and password...

When I login, the system informs me that I have successfully done so, but when I attempt to access the feedback section, it tells me I must be logged in to do so.

Do we need to get a new account. We signed on when you first
went online.

Ok, if I have an author topic, does that mean I have a login account already? I vaguely recall signing up for one a looooooong time ago, can't remember the little details like login name or password, though.

Is it possible to get a password reset sent to my current e-mail account? (I've gone through several since I may have created a login way back when.)

oh, current e-mail addy is blblalock

domain is attbi.com

of course you know there's an @ between those. Die spambots die.

I don't seem to have any trouble logging in, but I have no idea how to start a new topic. I don't see instructions for it anywhere. Could you help me out, please?

Oops I had posted that in your name-topic.

I thought I posted that I have no idea what my password is but I don't see the message. (vague look) I hope I tried to post the inquiry here...

Um, what happened to the ability to view older messages? I remember not too many days ago that a visitor could step through by pages.

Now that I think on it:

I've forgotten my password, too. I'll just get at the end of the line here, I guess...

Oddly, knowing that Vera doesn't know what her password is makes me feel better about not knowing what my password is.

Kent, I have no idea what my password is.

WAAAAAAAHH!!!!!!!!

*sobbing*

Hey, Kent!

If I ever had a password, I certainly don't recall it. Is there a mechanism for mailing passwords or giving clues or some such?

Lawrence

Are we supposed to log in? What does that do? Where does one do that? Is this the same log-in we had a long time ago? Do I have a password and if so, what the heck is it? For that matter, do I have a screen name I should be using? Why all the changes? Why are the author's entries stuck in with the topics? What happened to all the organization?

Jeez, you leave for a couple of months and the place goes to Heck...

Hey Kent,

Seems my long term memory ain't what it used to be. I'll need a password as well. Thanks!

Sure. I just tried the password that I used to have, and it didn't work :(

(Does the system still have the constraint that periods aren't allowed in a user-name?)

Kent - I've apparently lost my password too...I should be in your records somewhere.

Kent,
Sorry, I guess I'm another who has forgotten his login and password. I didn't think I did, but nothing I've tried works

Geoff: you want I should send you your password? :)

Message 143 was left by Barry Hollander on 2002-03-21 12:19:08. Feedback: 0/0

blush I also forgot my password. I think I am "Barry" unless the other Barry got that one first, but he hasn't been around for quite a while. Been ages since I used the log in.

Message 142 was left by Jim C. Hines on 2002-03-21 09:52:54. Feedback: 0/0

Geoffrey - it works fine if you remove "index.html" from the end. My guess is that it's a different extension now to make the nifty database things work...

Jim stops to actually look at the top of his browser...

Yup - it reads as index.php now. Personally, I usually just leave index.??? off and allow the server to default to the index page.

Likewise nothing came through in email. Maybe the new address will work better:

For reference, in the last day or two I've had difficulty getting to the rumor mill from two different computers.
http://www.speculations.com/rumormill/index.htm, for example, now gives a 404.

Has the procedure changed?

Message 138 was left by Joe Mahoney on 2002-03-20 21:03:21. Feedback: 0/0

Thanks Kent, everything's cool now.

Message 137 was left by TerryB on 2002-03-20 20:18:24. Feedback: 0/0

Kent, I've checked my mail, but there's nothing there from Speculations. Re-send? Thanx, TerryB
