Streamlight, Inc., a leading manufacturer of high-performance flashlights for law enforcement applications, has introduced two charging accessories for its Stinger line of rechargeable flashlights. The new Stinger PiggyBack Charger and UltraStinger Fast Charger significantly reduce the amount of time required to fully recharge a Stinger battery.

Designed for the Stinger, Stinger HP, Stinger XT, Stinger XT HP, and PolyStinger, the PiggyBack Charger enables simultaneous charging of a Stinger flashlight and a spare battery. In addition to being able to re-energize two batteries at the same time, law enforcement officers will appreciate using the PiggyBack charger for the convenience and security of having a fully charged spare battery as back-up while on duty. The new PiggyBack charging unit is available in steady charge (requires 10 hours) or fast charge (requires 2.5 hours).

Also new is a UltraStinger Fast Charger which uses an existing Stinger Fast Charger and a new UltraStinger 120V AC Fast Charge cord to charge an UltraStinger or SuperStinger in just 2.5 hours, which is four times faster than the standard charging unit.

According to Streamlight President Brad Penney, one of the most important benefits of equipping law enforcement officers with Stinger rechargeable flashlights is the substantial savings in battery replacement costs. “Our new Stinger recharging accessories also save time,” Penney commented. “The Stinger PiggyBack Charger and the UltraStinger Fast Charger significantly reduce the amount of time officers spend recharging Stinger batteries to full strength.”

The new Stinger PiggyBack Charger retails for $49.95. Specifically for UltraStinger and SuperStinger flashlights, the new 120V AC Fast Charge cord retails for $25 and is used in conjunction with a Stinger Fast Charger holder which retails for $39.95.
