Additional Mathematical Software Available Freely at JPL

The Computational Mathematics Activity maintains substantial additional collections of mathematical software that are not yet indexed using WWW or Mosaic. These collections were not developed by the Computational Mathematics Activity.

The software collections are in the directory dist, which includes several collections of non-mathematical software. The mathematical software collections are in the directory dist/mathlibs.

All software in the math archive is available for use in JPL and CalTech projects. Programs incorporating this software may be used at other institutions without proprietary restrictions, except that software in the directory /dist/mathlibs/stanford is site-licensed to CalTech and JPL. Software in this directory may be freely used in CalTech and JPL projects, but neither the software, nor programs incorporating it, may be sent outside CalTech and JPL without the permission of the copyright holders.

Many files in the Computational Mathematics Activity archive are binary files. Special care is required to retrieve them using Mosaic.

Documentation if available for many of the collections. For information, contact Fred Krogh E-Mail
