Nov 02, 2002 - Vandals recently struck several sport utility vehicles and area construction sites, leaving local police and FBI investigators wondering if the acts are linked to a radical environmental group. At least four incidents in recent weeks in Henrico and Goochland counties have prompted authorities to look more closely at an international underground movement known as the Earth Liberation Front, or ELF.

Sept 03, 2002 - The Earth Liberation Front is claiming responsibility for the 8/11/02 arson attack on the United States Forest Service Northeast Research Station in Irvine, Pennsylvania.

The laboratory was set ablaze during the early morning hours, causing over $700,000 damage, and destroying part of 70 years worth of research. This lesson in "prescribed fire" was a natural, necessary response to the threats posed to life in the Allegheny Forest by proposed timber sales, oil drilling, and greed driven manipulation of Nature.

ELF Takes Action Against Biotechnology Research at the University of Minnesota
Jan. 29, 2002 - ST. PAUL, MN - The Earth Liberation Front has taken credit in a communique for the setting of incendiary devices at a construction site on the University of Minnesota's St. Paul campus. The target of the fire was the university's new Microbial and Plant Genomics Research Center currently under construction.

National Day Of Protests Called Against Congressional Hearing On EcoTerrorism; Open Call For Direct Action
Jan. 14, 2002 - WASHINGTON, DC - A national day of protests have been scheduled in the U.S. for February 12, 2002, the same day former Earth Liberation Front spokesperson Craig Rosebraugh has been subpoenaed to testify before a Congressional Subcommittee hearing on Ecoterrorism in Washington, D.C.
Protest organizers have made an open call for direct action on or around February 12 against the Ecoterrorism meeting and in support of Rosebraugh, the Earth Liberation Front and the Animal Liberation Front.

ELF Claims Responsiblity For Spiking Trees In National Forest
Nov. 5, 2001 - NEZ PERCE NATIONAL FOREST, IDAHO - A communique received today from an anonymous group of individuals claims responsibility for spiking trees throughout the Otter Wing Timber Sale in the Nez Perce National Forest.

ELF Action Against BLM Wild Horse Facility
Nov. 5, 2001 - SUSANVILLE, CALIFORNIA - The ELF has taken credit in a communique for the setting of timed incendiary devices at the Bureau of Land Management's (BLM) Litchfield Wild Horse and Burro Facility on October 15th. The resulting fire caused approximately $85,000 in damages when a barn was burnt to the ground. In addition, the group cut through four 60-foot sections of wooden fence on corrals holding more than 200 wild horses in an attempt to liberate them from the BLM.
