MILITARY M256A1 CHEMICAL DETECTOR & IDENTIFIER KIT The M256A1 Chemical Agent Detector Kit is a compact, simple-to-use kit designed to detect blister, nerve and blood (cyanide) agents. It also determines the type of agent present or confirms the absence of a hazardous concentration of agent. It is used after a chemical attack to determine if it is safe to unmask or reduce the protective posture level. This is one of the military's most sensitive devices for detecting Chemical Agents and detects all agents at levels below those that can kill or injure people. It was used extensively during the 1st Gulf War and is widely deployed with our troops in Iraq today.
