Participate in your Neighborhood

Sam Hughes is a great place to live, and we're lucky to be part of it. Some of the charm of Sam Hughes comes from the interesting, old houses, some from the excellent grammar school, some from the lovely people who live here. The efforts of so many residents, past and current, have made Sam Hughes what it is today. Likewise, the future of the neighborhood is in the hands of those who live here now. If you'd like to be a part of our future, please take a moment to consider participating in the Sam Hughes Neighborhood Association.

There are many ways to contribute to the Neighborhood. The Sam Hughes Board is made of committees that could all use your help at some point through the year. Some, like the Home Tour Committee, are focused on a single activity, while others, like the Newsletter, work throughout the year to keep the residents informed of Neighborhood goings-on. Or perhaps you have a special project that doesn't fall under any of the current committees. Maybe something like a tree-planting project. The Association might be able to provide advice, help with mailings, or resource lists.

Even if you don't have time for a project, you can help just by becoming a member. For just $10 per year, you can help us fund some of the Neighborhood projects you enjoy each year and participate in elections next year. To become a member, just download the form using the button to the left, include a check made out to SHNA, Inc., and mail it.

If you would like to be on our e-mailing list, please fill out the form below. You don't even need to be a member to participate in e-mails. Please be aware that we will never release e-mail addresses to anyone other than SHNA Board members, we will not sell them, or publish them.
