This site is devoted to the greatest land-air battle of World War II the battle of Kursk. In this massive clash of forces that began early morning of July 5th, 1943 the fate of the Eastern front was to be decided.
The total number of troops participating only in this battle on both sides exceeds the number of troops of today's armies of USA and Russia combined. The future of the humanity was on the scale of manpower balance, technical superiority and suddenness of the attack.

Prokhorovka battle

1,200 tanks and self-propelled guns were used at Prokhorovka battle. This battle is the greatest cross tank action in WWII.

Oil Supplies

Germany got 45% of its oil supplies from Romania, which was captured by the Soviets in August 1944.
