The Harvard Journal of Law and Technology welcomes Mr. Chris Stone as our third lecturer of 2004. Mr. Stone is Vice Chairman of Novell, a leading software and services company headquartered in Waltham, MA. As Vice Chairman, Mr. Stone oversees all of Novell's engineering, support, marketing, product management, alliances, global sales and consulting activities. He also has overseen Novell's acquisition of Ximian, a leading provider of Linux.
Mr. Stone has a degree in Computer Science from the University of New Hampshire and attended the Executive MBA program at the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business. Previously, Mr. Stone sat as chairman of the Object Management Group, where he created CORBA - one of the leading frameworks for distributed object-oriented software.
He will be speaking on Open Source development and Novell's Open Source business model.
