Those Davies girls had a rough start in life, losing their mother when they were just little girls. Sharon could not have been much more than ten when it happened. I suppose with their father so busy on the farm it left just the two girls to look after each other.

I thought she was a sweet girl, but Jim Robinson seemed to have his reservations when she was seeing a lot of Matt Robinson. But that all ran it's course as puppy love will.

Sharon was very close to her big sister, Bronwyn. She left the farm as soon as her father would allow so as she could be with her here. It was the right decision. Rural life can be very limited for young people. And after all they'd been through together I think those two sisters needed each other. It's a good thing she got along well with Henry Ramsay, because after he married Bronwyn, Sharon followed them to New Zealand as well.
