Harry Fiske's Radio Controlled Duck
RC DUCK Mk.2
Inspired by my rdaio controlled duck - which is basicly a mallard hunting lure cross bred with a Nikko Sea Hawk RC boat Harry has made a rather more professional job than my Mk 1 version. Wheras I got rid of almost all of the boat hull, fitting a minimal chassis almost completely inside the duck then leaving the electronics and battery box floating around in plastic bags, Harry has fitted the duck around what is left of the boat hull.

Which is more or less a self contained semi floating structure that is then fitted into the duck and sealed with silicon fish tank sealant.

The only things that are not to my taste are the external ariel - it will work perfectly well up to about 15 metres with the ariel inside the duck - and the wing nut holding the wings in place - this could have been a countersunk screw - wich would be less practical but show less. However Harry has made a good job of disguising the ariel as an interpond ballistic missile.
