Whereas:  The kink community suffers from the negative effects of being lumped into the same group as smut peddlers;

Whereas:  Mature sites that frankly discuss issues of sexuality such as Dr. Ruth Westheimer enjoy relative freedom in where they can find Web hosting, BDSM sites struggle against a tide of discrimination because of our assumed pornograhic or offensive content;

Whereas:  Many web designers are guilty of perpetuating this misconception by finding it necessary to display sexually explicit photographs in order to sensationalize their sites and increase ego-boosting hits;

Whereas:  Many lifestyle-related web designers are guilty of trying to make a profit off the lure of pornography at the expense of those seeking information, not titillation;

Whereas:  We are non-consensually forced to view sexually explicit material without adequate warning under the misguided notion that anyone who would be interested in the lifestyle would also wish to view explicit sex acts while reading BDSM-related literature;

Whereas:  Legitimate web pages seeking to provide useful information on our lifestyle suffer the monetary burden of inflated prices for hosting as a result of this perception;

We Resolve: To keep our site free of sexually explicit material that caters to purely prurient interests;

We Resolve: To limit use of erotic imagery to those of good taste and artistic expression;

We Resolve: To refuse to attempt to make a profit from our visitors by participating in any link or banner exchange for sites that exist purely for the marketing of sexual services or pornographic images;

We Resolve: To present our lifestyle in a positive way to elevate awareness and acceptance in a world made up of people of diversified interests.

We are reclaiming our lifestyle from the the misinformed, the greedy, and the tasteless.  Join us in boycotting sites that have protituted themselves to the pornographers.
