Lou was completely shocked with the discovery that Valda is the new owner of his Number 22.
Although they used to be firm friends, Lou's marriage to Trixie set the pair at loggerheads. Tom Oliver explains how this new revelation has affected the financially challenged Lou Carpenter,
"He's devastated, because he's waved Valda off with an extra week's pay and helped her to set up a bank account and told her to look after her money and suddenly, she turns out to be Ipanema Investments," said Tom. "Where the heck she got the money from, I'll never know. When he finds out that she is the owner of his house, he sees it as an invasion of privacy, almost."
When asked what annoys Lou the most about Valda owning Number 22, Tom answered,
"I think the sneakiness of it," he said. "This happens not long after Trixie did the sneaky bit and now Valda has also pulled the rug out from underneath him as well."
According to Tom, Lou is stuck between a rock and a hard place with nowhere else to move to.
"Where can he move to?" Asked Tom. "There's only the pub to move to, but I don't think Lou wants to go down that road again. There really is nowhere else to go."
Don't miss the hilarity that results from Ramsay Street's newest version of the odd couple.
