The drive burns DVD+R at 4x, DVD+RW at 2.4x, CDR at 40x and CDRW at 16x. The speed of the burn is not fantastic as 8x is the norm and also DVD+R drives are the minority as opposed to the more common DVD-R (the pros and cons I'll leave for others to argue about).
