     Catholic Charities' Lifelong Adult Wellness Conference Coming This Fall
 
  Catholic Charities Lifelong Adult Wellness Conference, September 24th, 2004, is for middle-age adults, older adults, caregivers, parish leaders and professional in aging occupations. The theme for this 16th annual conference, Living Your Life With Faith and Purpose, will be the topic of the keynote address given by Dr. Richard Johnson.

Middle age adults: If you are looking forward to retirement and want to be well prepared spiritually, physically, and financially, you will find helpful and practical information to get you started today. Workshops of special interest to you are:

  • Optimal Spiritual Growth in the Middle Years
  • Take It Lightly – Jest for the Health of It!
  • Fraud: Schemes, Scams & Cons and Identity Theft

Older Adults: If you want information on how to live your later years with purpose and competence, our conference will help you in both aspects. Workshops of special interest to you are:

  • Well of Body, Wise of Mind and Whole of Spirit
  • From Assisted Living Facilities to Nursing Homes: How to be a Wise Consumer

  • Medicare and Partnering With Your Doctor

Caregivers: Caregiving can be challenging and fulfilling. Workshops of special interest to you are:

Mark your calendars and call Sue Paddock at 414-769-3544 for a registration booklet (will be sent out the middle of July). The conference is held at the Archbishop Cousin’s Catholic Center, 3501 South Lake Drive, St. Francis. The facility is spacious and located across the street from Bayview Park on Lake Michigan. It is easy access from I43/94 via the Howard Avenue exit.
