 Q.How are funds from the Catholic Stewardship Appeal used?
 
 A.The funds raised by the Catholic Stewardship Appeal are allocated by the bishops to support programs coordinated by diocesan staff. Typically, the following programs are supported:

Parish Services (24%)

  • Training for parish staff, liturgists and musicians
  • Administrative support, training and in-service programs
  • Community services/outreach programs
  • Respect life education and support

Ministerial Formation (21%)

  • Saint Francis Seminary
  • Lay minister training
  • Diaconate program
  • Hispanic and African-American leadership training
  • Vocations support
  • Recruitment outreach

Social Outreach (21%)

  • Catholic Charities support
  • Advocacy programs
  • Wisconsin Catholic Conference
  • In-home support and respite for older adults and people with disabilities
  • Adoption services and foster care
  • Ministry for persons with disabilities
  • Kids Can–child abuse prevention program
  • Grieving seminars
