Boarding call

Players: Jean, Bobby
Setting: The morning, after Jean and Scott say their goodbyes

Jean bursts out from the front doors of the mansion in tears, her face red
and flustered, clutching her single bag as if it were the last thing she had
 on earth.

Bobby is heading from the gates, where a taxi is, and stops when he sees
you, "Jean? Hey, Jean...what's wrong?" He actually looks concerned, his
jokers facade slipping away in an instant.

Jean trudges down the mansion driveway as fast as she can, toting the heavy
package along beside her and watching the ground move beneath her feet.
"Scott. He... oh, I don't know, right now I just want to see my mom and
 dad."

Bobby nods, and follows you, "I was gonna come and get you...there's a taxi
out here....can I carry the bag for you or something?" . o O (What the heck
 is going on?)

Jean stops for a moment to wipe her brow before continuing her determined
strides, still staring straight ahead. "No, I'm fine, and what's going on
is the fact that he's a man, and he doesn't understand what's happened to
me, and neither do I, and it's killing us, both of us."

Bobby follows you, using his powers for half a second to chill the air about
you, to make it a bit less hot for you. "Does...has the Professor come up
with anything? Do we have -any- clues what happened?" He sighs, then
continues, "Jean...I've been kicking myself for years for not being able to
go up to the Moon to help you..."

Jean finally reaches the gates, hefting the bag onto the ground in front of
her and motioning for the driver, who takes it. She turns around to Bobby
and manages an awkward, half-hearted smile. "It's alright. I know you would
have been there if you could have. As for clues... no, I don't have any,
and right now I don't really care what happened, as long as I'm here and
 alive."

Bobby nods, and smiles brightly, "I agree, Jean...and just wait...we'll get
Hank and Warren out here, and it'll be all of us back together again." He
grins wickedly, "And I'll dump snow on Scott if he dosen't do the right
 thing."

Jean looks behind her to check on the driver before replying. "He is doing
the right thing, even if he can't admit how he feels. And me... I'm doing
the right thing, too. My parents deserve a little of my time, and I want to
see Sarah. So don't be too hard on him, he's just doing what he thinks he
needs to do in order to resolve his emotions. And who am I to blame him
 for that?"

Bobby smiles, "Promise to call?"

The taxi driver opens the rear passenger side door, and waits. "I will.
I'll only be gone for a long weekend, snowball. You take care, alright?"
Jean steps into the open door, ducking her head as she seats herself.

Bobby grins, "Of course...maybe i"ll go party down in the city." He winks,
 "I Need to date anyway."

Jean lets loose an uneasy breath, and gestures to the driver. "You do that,
Bobby." The driver politely shuts the door behind her, and walks around the
vehicle to his seat. With a subdued roar of the engine, the car comes to
life and rolls down Graymalkin Lane.

Bobby stands where he is, watching the taxi roll down the lane, waving.
