RULES AND PUNISHMENT

Looking around at the other students, you remember what happens to people caught misbehaving. Once your friend had to stand in front of the class with a dunce cap on his head while facing the corner, as punishment for fidgeting.
Punishment.
When Miss Bailey once caught you talking, you had to balance on a block of wood while facing the corner. When you lost your balance and fell, you had to stand in the corner even longer. Still you're thankful that you haven't had to write lines for sometime, and especially, that you've never had to receive the dreaded strap, or to be suspended or expelled from school, as others had been.
