Introduction

Welcome to the MicroBee online technical references page and PicoMozzy homepage. This page is an online repositary of technical material related to the MicroBee personal computer. If you have any MicroBee related information you would like to contribute to the repository then it would be great if you could contact me at apsh@ecr.mu.oz.au.

Picomozzy - the Microbee 32k Emulator

Picomozzy is my Microbee 32k emulator for for dos or windows. It supports most of the Microbee 32k features including graphics, colour and sound. It does not yet emulate the tape drive interface or the parallel and serial ports, but these will (probably) be included in future releases. The emulator seems to test OK on Pentium II 200 and above (win95 and above fine afaik), but ymmv. Keyboard responce may become an issue on slower machines, and also refresh rates. If you find any bugs not mentioned in the readme file then please email a description (email address is in the readme). Please include the word "picomozzy" in the title of the email to make sure it isn't thrown out with the spam.

There are some screenshots here.

UPDATE: Sound emulation now supported under windows!

The emulator (beta) may be downloaded for either windows (here) or dos (here - extender required). Source code is available for download here.

Beta release here.

You might also want to look at Nanowasp (yes, that's where I got the name for my emulator ;), an emulator for the more modern MicroBee 128k. Also, MESS apparently emulates early model bees.
