Mayor's Digital Leadership Caucus top
Sunday, June 26, 11 am–7 pm, Philadelphia City Hall  add to planner

The 1st Annual Mayor's Digital Leadership Caucus will convene in City Hall on Sunday, June 26, one day prior to the start of NECC. The City of Philadelphia and the Mayor's Commission on Technology are pleased to support the Leadership Caucus, and the agenda is in sync with NECC's theme, "Spark a Revolution in Learning!" Convening the Caucus as a preconference activity provides a unique and excellent opportunity to showcase the accomplishments of the City of Philadelphia in the areas of educational technology.

The primary objectives are:

  • to show that digital parity can improve the quality of life for minorities in the new "knowledge economy"
  • to encourage leaders to find ways to use technology more effectively to educate minorities about its benefits and opportunities

During the Caucus, nationally recognized education and technology leaders including ISTE's CEO Don Knezek and ISTE Board Member Joyce Pittman, Philadelphia citizens, and the Mayor's Commission on Technology (MCOT) supporters will demonstrate how education, community, corporate and government leaders can create coalitions to ensure that all individuals—especially minority youth—have access to a digitally relevant education that embraces knowledge technologies that will contribute to the greater economic and civic good. Details are available at http://mcot.phila.gov/.

Space is limited! Please RSVP to Kenya Felton at 215.472.3034 or .
