The Membrane Protein Expression Center (MPEC) is centralized in the newly built laboratory space at the UCSF Mission Bay Campus. Several key development laboratories are located outside the primary center. These include Dr. James Van Etten in the University of Nebraska, Dr. Ronald Kaback at UCLA, and Dr. Shimon Schuldiner in Israel.
