Candy bars to RAZR's - phones I mean...

Well I really like the look of this new Motorola Q RAZR phone - even if it's not going to be ready for a while.. and I never ever thought I'd say that about a QWERTY keyboard! I wonder how long I'd take to get used to it, since I'm a prolific texter on my current layout smartphone and manage quite long emails and blogs from it

And there's an interesting write up from business week too.  so maybe it's time to dump the MTC (audiovox) C500 then?

So when can i get one?

Looks a lot like the HP Ipaq 6515 (out to buy now) which I've been contemplating getting.

There is a great review here with lots of pics: http://www.mobile-review.com/pda/review/hp-ipaq-hw6515-en.shtml

If someone can get BlackBerry connect to work on one of these them I'm sold!

If you are getting a smartphone like this then why don't you switch to Exchange 2003 with push technology? ;)

My company has Ex2003 but don't you need SP2 for push mail which isn't out yet? Also we have already invested in a BES server with a few hundred BlackBerry devices.

Yes - SP2 will be out later this year (2nd half), and will provide push mail, remote wipe (with confirmation that this has been effected) and anti phishing technology. This is all provided out of the box so all you need to get this push mail is your existing data contract with your mobile provider. I blogged about the features that will be included with SP2 here: http://blogs.technet.com/eileen_brown/archive/2005/06/29/SP2_release_date.aspx
so you won't have too long to wait now before SP2 comes out...

Doing some research on this and I think I'll wait for the IPAQ 6715 due later in the year. This will have WM2005 and WiFi added which the 6515 doesn't have.
