Cover Art from a never released Zoid Comic

Here's where having a web page about your passion pays off; graphic artist Bill Perry saw my page and contacted me with the following amazing information. During the Eighties, while a college student, Bill worked on a Zoids comic for Tomy North America that was intended to be packed in with the Robo Strux toys. Unfortunately for us the comic never got past the prototype stage.
Bill writes:
The comic book was designed to sweep away the "Zoids" (skeleton designs) and introduce the new line as well as tell a rather complex story that both adults and kids would like. Also, this was the "antiviolence era" so that's why the posters were so bland and lacking any action (though some rough ideas with air combat, etc. were loved by the powers-that-be at Tomy).
Bill, who now runs Hired Gun Studios has a rekindled interest in reviving the comic. He has been kind enough to allow me to showcase his unreleased and never finished artwork here. Click the arrow at the bottom to turn to the next page.
