The comic book was designed to sweep away the "Zoids" (skeleton designs) and introduce the new line as well as tell a rather complex story that both adults and kids would like. Also, this was the "antiviolence era" so that's why the posters were so bland and lacking any action (though some rough ideas with air combat, etc. were loved by the powers-that-be at Tomy).Bill, who now runs Hired Gun Studios has a rekindled interest in reviving the comic.
