The area of Gümüslük (Myndos) is known to be an ancient harbor and settlement site with its history going back to the 4th century B.C. The area has been investigated with limited resources and it is known to have still the remains of the old harbors, archeological artifacts and architectural structures.
The area is expected to hide many archeological artifacts and structures preserved by the thick (soft) sediments covering the area. We will be conducting a rapid assessment survey with the hardware provided by RESON for detection and classification/identification of these objects and map their positions for further detail studies.
