And thanks for the congrats.

Congratulations on the sale to Faeries.
Was that an e-mail sub or hardcopy?

Hi Sue. You're absolutely right that it looks very similar to my old site! I have no design skills at all and couldn't come up with anything significantly different. Some differences are that it's all laid out with stylesheets, not tables, that it's a fully dynamic site so that I don't have to upload pages every time I change something (which was the main reason for changing it), and that it has a flexible size depending on the size of the browser window.

Not sure what happened to the pic on the bio page when you visited. Must have been a temporary thing because it's there when I look.

Site looks nice -- though it doesn't seem that different from your old one (as I recall.) Of course, that could be because the picture is the same. BTW, the pic on your bio page is missing.

You certainly have lived a fascinating (and well-traveled) life.

I know its kinda late but I must apologize for attemping to make you the fault when I was high strung way back then when I first came to this site. I wish I had just viewed the site and posts rather than trying to do verbal warfare with you committed writers. Anyway i thought i owed you an apology.

You're right, Martin. Sigh. Perhaps I should become American...

Mikal: My taste... It does seem to be lapsing far too often. If I recall, I liked your previous story in LSS as well. I don't know what's happening. :(

Patrick, the BFoD I recieved on Monday was from Carina. I had subbed it in February, but looking at the postmarks, I think my story was sitting near the top of the pile when the database went south.

My form says Shawna, but hey, it's a form, the signature is typed, and the postmark is Long Island, NY. So--who knows?

But I do know that this particular story had gone on to Shawna from Carina. It was the first time I'd mentioned Clarion in my cover letter.

It's to be released on 24th March.

Just to make me a liar, this time when I logged in, my author topic showed up. I think it's just trying to provoke me. *sigh*

Don't think I have my topic set up to send me email. Then again, I've no idea whether my email address I'm signed up with is a current one. I know nothing.

hmm, just dawned on me -- what "fresh stuff" are you referring to?

When I hit Fresh Stuff on the menu on the left, I get all the lastest, including author topics--my own included--whether I am logged in or not.

If you mean the "what I've just visited bar just above this, not sure, let me check.

Someone, somewhere on the RM, very recently, said it's because you've got your topic marked to send you an email whenever anyone posts in it. (I *believe* we can do this to each individual subject topic as we like, as well. I don't know if that prevents *those* topics from showing up in the Fresh Stuff list, or not.) I haven't tested this theory, however.

Justin, how many times have you appeared in Boy's Life? I think you very well qualify for The Authors Guild, not WotF. Isn't AG membership based on readership and sales?

Seriously though, check with Kathy Wentworth at the WotF sff.net ng.

Hi Justin.

Thanks for the congrats. Tony didn't say anything about time frame, just that he hoped the payments would come through quicker than the acceptance. So, I would assume that the optimistic time frame is less than 266 days. :)

My impression is that the publisher is in no hurry with any of this.

Did Tony mention any time-frame to you about contracts? He accepted my story in April, for the other antho and hoped to have the paperwork to me by the first of May, but so far no luck.
