Dr. Robert P. George, the McCormick Professor of Jurisprudence and Director of the James Madison Program in American Ideals and Institutions at Princeton University, visits Milwaukee for the 2007 Pallium Lecture Series. Dr. George is a member of the Council on Bioethics and formerly served as a presidential appointee to the United States Commission on Civil Rights.
Dr. George will present "Faith Based Initiatives and American Politics."
James Towey, President of St. Vincent College, Latrobe, Pa., is the first speaker of the 2007 Series on Tuesday, March 6.
Cardinal Theodore McCarrick, Archbishop Emeritus of Washington, D.C. is the second speaker of the 2007 Series on Thursday, March 29.
In 2003, Milwaukee Archbishop Timothy M. Dolan introduced the Pallium Lecture Series as an opportunity for members of the Catholic community of southeastern Wisconsin to learn from national and international experts on a variety of topics that are pertinent to Catholic life in today's world.
