All peacemakers and justice seekers are invited to participate in the celebratory last leg of the Walk for Peace and Justice from Madison to Milwaukee. The one week walk is sponsored by and benefits the Wisconsin Network for Peace and Justice (WNPJ) to raise awareness about efforts in this state to promote peace and non-violence.*
This Saturday join the walkers coming from Madison at 1:00 pm at 12th and Wisconsin Avenue and head toward a rally and potluck celebration in the Veteran's Park Pavilion at the end of the Lagoon Drive on Milwaukee's lakefront.
Contributions to the festivities are welcome including food, banners and donations to the Wisonsin Network for Peace and Justice.
* The WNPJ is a diverse network of about 100 organizations who work on various peace and justice efforts among them are several women religious congregations.
