Make this a Holiday Season of Conscience!

Each year, groups across the country hold marches and vigils in early December for the Holiday Season of Conscience to End Child Labor and Sweatshops.

On December 4th in New York, thousands will attend a candlelight march and vigil down 5th Avenue, demanding that Disney return to the Shah Makhdum factory in Bangladesh and treat its workers with dignity. Groups in Massachussets, Indiana, Arizona, California, Wisconsin, Texas, Vermont, Illinois, and Ohio are already planning demonstrations and vigils.

We urge you to also make this a Holiday Season of Conscience. Plan a vigil. Send hundreds of "I Care" Shopper Cards to your local store managers. Leaflet in front of Disney stores and theater venues. Send delegations to meet with Wal-Mart managers. Have letter-writing holiday parties.

Please click on the icon below to view or download some suggestions for ways to creatively organize an action--large or small--in your own community. For more information, go to http://www.nlcnet.org/hsc/ or call our office.

Tell us what you're planning! We'll post it on our website to share it with the rest of the country.
