Sunday September 21 will mark the second annual United Nations International Day of Peace. Locally the Peace and International Issues Committee of the Interfaith Conference of Greater Milwaukee joins the Sisters of Saint Francis of Assisi and Franciscans International North America in sponsoring a vigil from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. This ecumenical and interfaith expression of longing and prayer for global peace will include common and individual prayer as well as opportunity for labyrinth walking meditation. In addition there will be moments for meditative dances of peace at 2:30, 4:15 and 6:15. All are welcome to Calvary Presbyterian Church 935 West Wisconsin Avenue for all or part of this vigil.
