"A Catholic High School Education: The Gift for a Lifetime" to be Held on October 30

The Archdiocese of Milwaukee will host "A Catholic High School Education: The Gift for a Lifetime" on Thursday, October 30, at the Archbishop Cousins Catholic Center, 3501 S. Lake Dr., St. Francis. (Visit this link for a map to the Archbishop Cousins Catholic Center.)

The evening has been planned for parents of middle-school students and will feature John Findlater, an educational consultant to Catholic schools and parishes throughout the United States, who will share why a Catholic high school education is "the gift for a lifetime." Findlater, a frequent presenter at the annual NCEA national convention and at workshops for teachers, principals and parents, will help parents of middle school students understand the importance of a Gospel-centered mission found in Catholic schools.

Findlater also will discuss how a Catholic high school education can have a positive impact throughout a child's life. Part of Findlater's presentation will address the importance of parents supporting and reinforcing what their children learn in school.

Following Mr. Findlater's presentation, parents will be able to visit a High School Showcase with representatives from the 13 Catholic high schools in the 10-county Archdiocese of Milwaukee. Parents can use the opportunity to learn more about the terrific things that are happening in Catholic high schools in southeastern Wisconsin.
