Catholic Charities Hosts Free Immigration Information Sessions

Catholic Charities’ Legal Services for Immigrants has been providing free information sessions weekly on immigration law to the public for the past two years. To date, we have served over 2,800 people.

These information sessions are held in both Spanish and English at Catholic Charities’ Legal Services for Immigrants office at 2057 S. 14th Street, Milwaukee, and are presented by our two staff attorneys.

Beginning the first week of February 2004, the schedule for these sessions will change. The new schedule is:

TUESDAY EVENINGS – 6PM*

This is a general information session on immigration law where individual questions will NOT be answered. If participants have further questions, they can make an appointment to see staff. Staff currently consists two attorneys and three paralegals. Note: *This session begins promptly at 6pm. If no one is present by 6:15pm, the attorney will close the session for that evening.

MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY – 10AM TO 11AM

During this hour, a member of staff will meet with four clients individually for 15 minutes, on a first come first serve basis. These sessions are also free, in both English and Spanish, and open to the public.
