     Archdiocese of Milwaukee Jubilee Pilgrimage

The Jubilee Pilgrimage is a project whereby each parish in the archdiocese is encouraged to honor Christ's presence in the Blessed Sacrament and identify where Eucharist is present outside of the church walls. Each district is given a cross, camera and logbook. The cross travels between the parishes of the district. It symbolizes the Church as a pilgrim people and shows our solidarity with other Christians making pilgrimages during this Jubilee year.

During the sojourn, the parish may honor the Blessed Sacrament by celebrating a vesper service, a holy hour, a day of adoration, etc. Additionally, the parish may adorn the cross to reflect its local identity and take photos of where Eucharist is present outside of the church walls. The photos will be placed in the log and displayed at the Eucharistic Congress.

A district representative from the Archdiocesan Council of Deacons is helping the parishes schedule when the pilgrimage cross will arrive at each parish. The crosses, cameras, and film logs should be returned to the Cousins Center by October 1, 2000 so that the photos can be developed and prepared for the display.
