More than 6,000 students in grades four through eight entered the 2001 Archdiocese of Milwaukee Essay Contest. Students addressed the topic "Why I Have Faith in My Catholic School." Every student who entered the contest received a voucher for two tickets to a Marquette University men's and women's basketball game.
First-, second-, and third-place winners were named in each grade level. Winning essays will be published in the Catholic Herald's Parenting magazine. Winners received a Catholic Schools bag filled with Marquette paraphernalia and a three-month subscription to the Catholic Herald.
