Gerald Partridge, a 1978 graduate of the University of Iowa College
of Law, is considered one of the finest teachers of "Witness
Preparation" and "Cross Examination" in the country. His unique
approach as an instructor is the result of: 1) Twenty years of felony trial
work; 2) Extensive CLE and POST teaching experience; and 3) Studies in:
Interview and Interrogation (Reid & Assoc.), SCAN (Avinoam Sapir, formerly
with the Israeli Mossad), Verbal Judo (Dr. G. Thompson), Structural Thinking
(R. Fritz, Inc.), Systems Thinking (Innovation Assoc.), DRE Training; Special
Investigations (NCDA), and Non-Verbal Communication (Starr & Assoc.).
Partridge has
co-authored three best-selling books: Investigation and Prosecution of DWI and Vehicular
Homicide, Officer's DUI Handbook, and
Courtroom Survival: Making the Traffic Officer
a Powerful Witness, all published by LEXIS Law Publishing. He has taught
for APRI, NHTSA, the National Traffic Law Center, and at police academies and
prosecutor training conferences coast-to-coast. Mr. Partridge has served as an
adjunct instructor for the National College of District Attorneys' Advanced
Trial Advocacy Course at the National Advocacy Center in Columbia, South
Carolina. He and Professor Kwasnoski have taught
together on the national level for more than six years.
