How to use Librie Toolbar for IE

I have found toolbar to work best for me when creating content for Librie. Keeps formatting i.e. italics, bold, images, headings... and is very straightforward to use. However until you experiment with it a bit all is not that clear, hence this little guide...

I. Basic functions

After installing toolbar you can see it IE and it looks like this:

  1. Add current page to the selected book (dropdown no. 4)
  2. Takes current selected book (no.4) and imports it into desktop librie library
  3. Opens up a menu for creating new books
  4. Allows you to select book you want to add content to
  5. Help that not much of help as all is in Japanese

II. Managing books

Clicking on button no. 3 opens up following dialog box:

You need to right mouse click on selected book to get options 1 and 2.

  1. Shows details of setup for selected book. Does not allows editing.
  2. Deletes book from menu. Be careful as it also deletes lrf file it created.
  3. Opens up menu for creating new book

III. Setting up new book

Clicking on button 3 from previous menu opens this dialog box:

  1. Type name of the book here
  2. Type name of the author here
  3. Don't know where this is used. If anyone knows please let me know librie {at} xtmotion dot com.
  4. Don't know where this is used. If anyone knows please let me know librie {at} xtmotion dot com.
  5. ID number of the book. Not much of interest to us.
  6. Path to where book (lrf file will be saved). You can change the name of the file that will be created.
  7. Saves book in normal (vertical) way (i.e. you read from top to bottom)
  8. Saves book horizontally (i.e. you read from left to right, lines are wider) Good when you have wider images also forward backward button are more sensibly orientated.

IV. Miscellaneous

Some things to be aware when formatting html document. <strong><em> tags don't work use <b><i> instead. Special characters like “ ” or curly apostrophy are best replaced by straight " ' otherwise you get odd gaps formatting and in horizontal layout they keep vertical direction...

That's is all to it.... Hope this helps somebody..
