Kyle Visser and Jamie Skeen both finished with double-doubles as Wake Forest defeated Winston-Salem State University. Visser had 15 points and 11 rebounds while Skeen had 11 points and a career-high 13 rebounds to earn his second career double-double. The Deacs are now 11-12, 2-8 in ACC play.

Wake Forest falls to Maryland, 79-72 |

Despite an 18-2 run led by Michael Drum in the 2nd half , the Demon Deacons fell short to Maryland Saturday Night. Kyle Visser and Michael Drum led the Deacs with 16 points each. The Deacons still struggled from the line, shooting 12-23, just over 50%.

Saturday night, Wake Forest plays host to Maryland. Wake Forest, coming off an impressive win against Georgia Tech, looks to defeat Maryland, a team who received votes in the latest AP Poll.
Tip-off is set for 8:00 p.m. at the Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum. The game will be televised by the Raycom/Lincoln Financial Network (WFMY News2 in the Triad).

Wake Forest beats Georgia Tech, 85-75. |

Wake Forest beat Georgia Tech Tuesday night, 85-75 at LJVM Coliseum. Ironically, the football team was honored at halftime for there ACC Championship. Ironic, because Wake beat GT to win the ACC Championship. Towards the end of the game, a chant could be heard coming from towards the Wake Forest Football Team... "Just like football!".
Wake Forest won this game coming off a 6 game losing streak. "We just made up our minds that we were gonna stop making silly mistakes and win a game," said L.D. Williams.
Kyle Visser led the team with 26 points. Harvey Hale added 19 points and freshman Ishmael Smith had 10 points for the Deacs.
"It's been a tough stretch. It's so nice to get this one. ... We're excited about this win, but we can't throw a parade - we've got another tough game on Saturday (at home against Maryland) that we want to win."
