England international full-back Dusty Hare, a farmer
when he was not playing rugby, amassed 7,337 points
in an 18-year career that started in 1989. He was the
number one kicker for Nottingham (1,800 pts) and
Leicester (4,427 pts). He also scored 240 points in
25 matches for England between 1974 and 1984, another
88 points for the British Lions and 782 in other
representative matches.
What
has been the fastest try scored in international

THE JUDGE: H. L. (Bart) Price, of Oxford University,
Leicester and, later, Harlequins, touched down inside
ten seconds of England's match against Wales at
Twickenham on 20 January 1923.
Who
has played most Test matches for the British Lions?
Tim Baker, Bath
THE JUDGE: Willie John McBride played 17 Tests for
the British Lions as well as 63 matches for Ireland.
He skippered the Lions team that beat the Springboks
3-0 with one Test drawn in the 1974 tour of South
Africa. This was his fifth Lions tour, and he later
managed the Lions on their 1983 tour to New Zealand.
He has also coached the Irish team following a
playing career in which he was one of the most
respected forwards in the game.
Did
Serge Blanco win all his international caps as a
full-back?

THE JUDGE: Serge Blanco won 81 of his French
international caps as a full back, with another 12
appearances coming on the wing. He made his debut on
the right wing and scored the first of his 38 tries
in the Five Nations match against Scotland in Paris
on January 17 1981.
Is
it correct that the great Serge Blanco was not French
by birth?
