We're glad you're coming to NECC! This conference is the world's largest and most comprehensive educational technology event. Its success over the past decades is partly a result of the tremendous media coverage we've enjoyed. Please let us know if there's anything we can do to facilitate your coverage of the conference.

* Through June 26, 2005, please contact NECC Media Relations representative, Pat Walsh, by calling 1.541.434.7021 or e-mailing .

* Beginning June 27, 2005, please direct your questions to staff and volunteers in the NECC Media Center, located in Room 304 (VIP) of the Pennsylvania Convention Center. The Media Center will be staffed the week of NECC as follows:

  • Monday, 1–7 pm
  • Tuesday, 8 am–6 pm
  • Wednesday, 8 am–6 pm
  • Thursday, 8 am–3 pm

Media Center

Room 304 (VIP) of the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Hours:
  • Monday, 1–7 pm
  • Tuesday, 8 am–6 pm
  • Wednesday, 8 am–6 pm
  • Thursday, 8 am–3 pm

The following will be available in the Media Center:

  • Print versions of the NECC 2005 media kit
  • Media kits for NECC 2005 exhibitors and sponsors
  • Hot! 50 descriptions (submitted by exhibitors highlighting their show focus)

The Media Center will be equipped with a number of workstations that the media is welcome to use for checking e-mail and for creating and filing stories. Feel free to bring in your own laptop as well.

However, Internet access in the Media Center and predominantly throughout the NECC conference center will be wireless. Therefore, your personal laptop must have an airport-compatible network card to access the wireless network and use the Internet

You'll Need Your NECC Badge & Press Ribbon

If you want to take advantage of the reserved seating for media at David Weinberger's opening keynote address, you must be wearing BOTH your NECC 2005 Badge and your Press Ribbon.

  1. Obtain your Badge at the Registration Desk. Registration is open Sunday, June 26, from 7 am–6 pm, and Monday, June 27, from 7 am–7 pm.
  2. Obtain your Press Ribbon at the Media Center (hours noted above). A Press Ribbon is required for entry to reserved media seating at the opening keynote, required to use the Media Center, and required to attend NECC events/presentations.
