Country titan Martina McBride has set an April 3 release for her next RCA studio album, "Waking Up Laughing," which features the quick hit single "Anyway." The cut, which is McBride's first career songwriting credit, is No. 13 in its 10th week on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart.

"Waking Up Laughing" is the follow-up to 2005's "Timeless," which has sold 1.2 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

The new effort will be supported with an extensive tour, which will feature support from current Hot Country Songs chart-topper Rodney Atkins and Little Big Town. The itinerary begins April 12 in Kansas City, Mo., and will run through July 15 in Bossier City, La.

McBride is also up for a Grammy for best female country vocal performance for "I Still Miss Someone" from "Timeless."
