The Archdiocese of Milwaukee welcomes nominations for the 2006 Social Justice & Recognition Banquet (formerly the annual Justice Celebration Dinner). This year the event will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2006 at St. Matthias Parish, Steiger Hall, 9306 W. Beloit Road, Milwaukee, WI 53227.
The event will begin with 4:00 pm Mass followed by a reception, dinner, and awards/recognition in Steiger Hall.
As part of the celebration, we wish to recognize parishes and schools for a variety of social ministry efforts. We invite you to submit a nomination form for a justice related program or event which your parish or school sponsored.
To qualify, the program must have taken place between September 1, 2005 and October 19, 2006. Categories to consider include direct service, justice education and legislative advocacy. Nominations may include local, national, or international social ministry projects. Award Recipients for this year’s recognition will be contacted the week of October 23rd.
If you wish to nominate your parish or school, please submit your nomination form no later than October 20, 2006. We appreciate your cooperation in meeting this deadline.
