Resolve to Get Involved! (with Your Sister Parish)

With the coming of the New Year, our thoughts naturally turn to the passage of time. The New Year is a perfect opportunity to celebrate the past and look forward to the future.

Here at World Mission Ministries, we are celebrating the New Year by taking advantage of that opportunity. As our 25th year of sisterhood with Sagrada Familia Parish continues, we will be commemorating our past achievements, reflecting on our history, rejoicing in our continuing solidarity, and finding new ways to share faith and friendship with our brothers and sisters in the Dominican Republic.

Over the coming weeks and months, the Sagrada Familia website will feature stories, recipes, facts, and photos which will help reveal the nature of the parish, both past and present. We will show where we began, where we are, and where we are going. We hope this sharing will help bring us all closer with our family in “Holy Family” Parish.

As we continue to communicate information about our sister parish, we will also highlight what parishes, schools, communities, and individuals are doing right here at home to be in solidarity with Sagrada Familia.

We invite you to check the website often for new stories and resources, but we also invite you to get involved and celebrate with us. Let us know what you, your school, your parish, or your community is doing to show unity with Sagrada Familia. Share your reflections, experiences, photos, and thoughts about your sister parish. Send us your suggestions on how to celebrate, educate, and connect, or write or call to ask for additional information or resources. Click here to share or receive resources. Remember, as part of the Archdiocese of Milwaukee this is your anniversary, too!

We look forward to celebrating 2007 with you, and with our brothers and sisters in Sagrada Familia. From everyone in World Mission Ministries, Happy New Year, and, as always, Happy 25th Anniversary!
