Gamaliel Chair Peace and Justice Recipients for Fall 2003: A religiously and racially diverse group of young adults from the Milwaukee area have been selected this year for their commitment and action on behalf of building a more peaceful and just community in Metro Milwaukee. During the four weeks from Friday October 17 through Sunday November 16, they will be available, individually or in groups, to address forums, classes, community groups and religious gatherings. The group includes high school students from Homestead, Nicolet, Divine Savior-Holy Angels, Milwaukee Lutheran as well as members of the Urban-Suburban Emerging Youth Leaders Program of the Nehemiah Project. Their posted topics are:
The Art of Listening a way toward understanding
Restorative Justice a way toward reconciliation
Race and Religion a way toward respect
The Urban/Suburban Gap a way toward building community
Living in a Post 9/00 World a way toward non-violence
