  • Stone from the famous lannon quarries was used to build the church at St. John Parish, which was completed in 1920.   • A statute of St. Joseph in front of the convent offers a defining feature to visitors welcomed by the Carmelite Sisters of the Divine Heart of Jesus.   • A Milwaukee landmark, the chapel at St. Joseph Center has 115 stained-glass windows, 17 different kinds of marble adorning the chapel, and hand-carved Stations of the Cross from Switzerland.   • Sisters of the Sorrowful Mother welcome you to Epiphany House, which provides a retreat setting for people to set aside special time for prayer and reflection. 444 Bradley Road, Milwaukee

  • One-time hotel and now a residence for the Marquette University Jesuit Community, a building on the fringe of downtown Milwaukee provides space for a vibrant community of religious serving in higher education through teaching, campus ministry, administration, and other roles. 1404 W.   • Picture the old dormitories lit by kerosene lamps which the Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi keep among the relics in a part of their convent dating back to 1860. You will also see stained glass windows depicting women saints and hand-carved pews in a chapel built around the turn of the century. 3221 S. Lake Drive, St. Francis

  • Climb the grand staircase to the dome at Saint Francis Seminary, where the trompe l'oeil ceiling gives the impression of climbing to the sky.
