     Gamaliel Chair Reverend Dora Arce from Cuba visits Milwaukee during the Month of October
 
  Reverend Dora Arce, a Cuban woman pastor of the Presbyterian Church in Cuba will be in Milwaukee the month of October from the 1st through the 30th to share her life, her dreams and hopes with the people of Southeastern Wisconsin.

Rev Arce has always been active in her church. During her formation she was a participant in and advisor to the Student Christian Movement. Currently she vice moderator in the Synod of the National Church, the highest judicatory of the Presybertian Church in Cuba. She also serves as Director of the women's Department of the religious movement in Cuba.

Besides her ministerial commitments she is married and the mother of Sergio Armando Garcia-Arce 16 and Carlos Miguel Tamayo-Arce 9.

While she is in Milwaukee Rev Arce will address the following topics:

  • Reconciliation Between the Cuban Government and Cuban Religious Organizations
  • there of Women in Cuban Society and the Church
  • The Challenge of social Ministry in Cuba
  • A Day in the Life of a Religious Cuban Person
  • Bible Studies from a Cuban Perspective
The Gamaliel chair is sponsored by Metro Milwaukee Lutheran Campus Ministry and supported by Saint Francis Seminary and the Office for World Mission among many others. On Friday October 12 she will join the staff and visitors of Archbishop Cousins' Catholic Center for a Friday Feast for the Soul session 12:00 noon until 1:00.
