damaged has explained the memory usage many times. bottom line is that the virtual memory is meaningless. read the discussions, there's a thread there dealing with this.

PS: latest 2.0 beta is also claiming 2,84 gigs of virtual ram over here. and another 786mb, because there are 2 instances running at the same time: intel(64-bits) and intel. while I'm just on a non-64-bits MBP. strange things, indeed.

I'm having the same problem as Smelliot_ and post_it!, in my case with the ipod classic 160 + leopard. I selected the proper playlist (made it myself) but still no matching tracks found, yet iPod sync complete? Guys, really, there is obviously a problem here!

GimmeSomeTune scrobbles, gets lyrics and so much more AND uses less memory than iScrobbler.. Why is that?

Wow, this used to be so nice and lean; now it's just a bloated memory hog.

Kev, for iPhone and iPod Touch there is an Apple script and a fake (empty) iPod image, that combined together make your playlists ready for scrobbling with iScrobbler. Use a search to locate it here on Last.fm.

I switched to the official client 'bout a year ago, and I honestly can't remember why. This is so much better, it just sits there in the menu bar and does what it's supposed to do. Bliss.

Wow, didn't know there was a version 2.0. Was still stuck with 1.2 till I switched to Leopard. Then I downloaded the official client that doesn't work well, and it made me find out there was a beta of iScrobbler 2.0. Sweeeet ;)
